Maddison Zapach

Maddison is building a general litigation practice. She has appeared before the British Columbia Supreme Court and Federal Court as counsel on a variety of commercial matters.
Maddison completed her Juris Doctor at the UBC Peter A. Allard School of Law, where she received the Law Society of British Columbia Gold Medal. During law school, Maddison interned for judges at the Surrey Provincial Court, competed in the Davies’ Annual Corporate/Securities Law Moot, and helped to develop an open-source Torts casebook hosted on CanLII.
Prior to joining Hunter Litigation Chambers, Maddison clerked at the Supreme Court of British Columbia in Vancouver, practiced at Lawson Lundell LLP, and co-authored a paper published in the Supreme Court Law Review.
Before law school, Maddison obtained her Bachelor of Commerce with a dual specialization in operational logistics and accounting at the UBC Sauder School of Business. During that time, she served as a teaching assistant, learning content creator, and guest lecturer for eight undergraduate and masters-level business courses. She obtained a Commerce Scholar designation for her research in economic analysis of law.
