Brent R.H. Johnston
Brent Johnston joined Hunter Litigation Chambers after practising with a
national firm in the field of general commercial and insolvency
litigation. He has worked on a wide range of insurance and commercial
litigation matters, including the defense of complex and
document-intensive pharmaceutical and aviation product-liability claims.
He also has experience working with Court appointed receivers and monitors
and in assisting debtors and creditors in restructuring proceedings. Brent
has appeared at all levels of the British Columbia Courts, and has also
appeared in the Federal Court and the Yukon Territory Supreme Court.
Brent is active in the community. He served as a director and as the
Vice-Chair of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, a not-for-profit pediatric
palliative care hospice, and also served as a director of Leadership
Vancouver. He continues to volunteer annually with the HSBC Childrun
Steering Committee, helping to raise funds for B.C. Children’s Hospital.
