Our Firm

With the merger of two of Vancouver's leading litigation boutiques, Hunter Litigation Chambers has become the premier firm in British Columbia practicing in the field of dispute resolution. The firm is headed up by five Queen's Counsel, each of whom has developed a reputation for skilled advocacy in the courts and tribunals of British Columbia and Canada.

The firm currently consists of sixteen litigation counsel, two litigation solicitors, one legal assistant and nine staff. Our eighteen lawyers have strong professional and academic backgrounds. Three have clerked in the Supreme Court of Canada, six in the British Columbia Court of Appeal, two in the British Columbia Supreme Court, one in the Federal Court of Appeal and one in the Ontario Court of Appeal. Four have graduate degrees in law from Canada, the United States or England. Among our eighteen counsel we have graduates from UBC, UVic, SFU, University of Alberta, University of Toronto, McGill, Queen's, Osgoode Hall, Dalhousie, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Oxford, Cambridge the London School of Economics and the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Several have taught at law schools here in Vancouver or in England.

Four of our senior counsel are Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers and three are Fellows of the International Society of Barristers, the two major American-based trial lawyer organizations for whom membership is by invitation only.

The practice of Hunter Litigation Chambers will reflect the practices of its senior counsel and will be restricted to dispute resolution, primarily civil litigation, arbitration and administrative law.
